I have been drawing my entire life. Even at an early age I always knew I wanted to be a professional artist in some way, so I tailored my life to do so. I took any extra curricular art classes I possibly could. I worked under a world renown comic book/fantasy artist by the name of Scott James, for six year. He taught me most of what I know about drawing. He is part of the reason why I became a professional artist. From there I attended the American Academy of Art in beautiful downtown Chicago. I received a BFA, focus in Illustration and a minor in Graphic design. I studied under Tom Herzberg, he taught me everything I know about color theory. And last but certainly NOT least, my mother, Noreen Hoffmann. She believed in me when no one else did. With out her I don't know where I would be. These three people are the reason why I am a professional artist.
I started tattooing in the cold winter month of January 2007 in a small shop in Northern Illinois. I met my beautiful wife Tarah and we went to Seattle then to Memphis and finally landed back in Northern Illinois again in Chicago. Through the encouragement of my beautiful bride we opened up Dinosaur Studio Tattoo January 24th, 2011, off beautiful Lake Michigan in downtown Waukegan Arts District. Here we are, thanks to all our continued support of our family, friends, clients, and future clients!!
